Homecoming 2025 - Oct. 3rd 2025

Homecoming is fast approaching and will be held on October 3rd! The seniors have confirmed the theme - Greek Myths, along with the slogan "East Troy Homecoming: Powered by Greek Myth, Driven to Trojan Victory!”

The dress-up days are as follows:
Dress Up Days:
Monday– PJ Day (“Retired God Day”)
Tuesday– Dress like a God Day (Greek God Togas or dress like your god/hero)
Wednesday–Meme Day
Thursday–The Other Greeks (Fraternity/Sorority)
Friday– ET Spirit Wear


ETHS will be hosting the annual Homecoming Parade at 1:30 PM around the ET Village Square.

To celebrate Homecoming, the Chamber of Commerce is hosting a First Fridays Homecoming HOCO Edition on the Square from 4-7 PM. In addition, the ETHS All-Sports Booster Club is hosting a community tailgate from 5:30-7:00 PM, featuring their famous grilled concession stand options! ETHS will be selling Homecoming shirts again this year, allowing everyone to show their ET Spirit!

Lastly, there will be a dance for students on Saturday, October 4th, from 8 - 10:30 PM at ETHS. If you are bringing a guest from a different school, you must complete a guest dance form. Forms can be picked up in the main office.

Start College Now/ Early College Credit Programs

Juniors and Seniors– If you are interested in taking spring semester college classes through Start College Now or Early College Credit, those applications can be picked up in the Counseling Office and are due no later than October 1st. If you have questions about the programs, there will be a presentation in the lecture hall during resource on Tuesday September 23.

Senior Cap and Gowns & Class Rings

Jostens will be here on Thursday, Sept 25th during resource to provide cap and gown information to Seniors. They will return on Friday, Oct. 10th during lunch to take orders and also hand out info about class rings.

Senior Pictures
Attention Class of 2026: Your senior portrait is an important part of commemorating your education at ETHS. The following information will help you plan for your senior portraits and ensure that the photos in your yearbook are ones that you will treasure for a lifetime.

SENIOR PHOTOGRAPH GUIDELINES:
• Picture size should be 2.25” wide by 3” high (Vertical format)
• Picture resolution should be 300 DPI
• Allowed file format types include JPEG, JPG, PSD (Photoshop), or TIFF
• All backgrounds must be non-distracting
• No props
• No selfies
• Head and shoulder pictures are preferred but not required
• Students must follow the school dress code

NOTE: If you are using a professional photographer, we do not encourage taking prints from your photographer and scanning them. The quality is usually poor. Please have your photographer submit the image. The ETHS Yearbook reserves the right to refuse a photo not meeting specifications

SUBMISSION PROCESS:
All senior portraits must be submitted electronically.

Field Trip Opportunity from the Counseling Office

Planning for After High School Field Trip
on October 7th!!

ETHS Students--- On Tuesday October 7,
2025 (8am-11am) we will be going to
Carthage College to attend a resource
fair to explore over 100+ colleges,
apprenticeships, and military options to
support your postsecondary goals! If you
are interested in attending, please stop
by the counseling office for a permission
slip (due by Oct 1st). There is no cost for
this fieldtrip and space is limited.

A Message from Stateline Mental Health Services

Hi everyone,

We are your school-based mental health therapists, Abigail Luty and Jessie Doherty with Stateline Mental Health Services.  Abigail will be supporting high school students, and Jessie will primarily be working with middle school students.

We’re here to help students build skills like emotional regulation, coping strategies, and managing stress to support their overall well-being. We look forward to collaborating with staff and families throughout the year. The Cross Country teams hosted the Ladish Invite last week. Both teams did well at the meet, and the other schools enjoyed the challenging course. A thank you to CC coaches Mr. Vodnik, Mrs. Helen Vodnik, and Mr. Fox for your assistance with the race!
