This week, Chemistry students in Mr. Manske's class engaged in the Iodine Clock Challenge Lab! Students first develop their own experiments to study how temperature and concentration affect the rate of the "clock" reaction. On the last day, they are assigned a specific time to get the reaction to go off and change color. For the final demonstration, each group will mix the chemicals at the same time, and the "clock" will change in order of their assigned times. Students enjoyed the hand-on learning lab and the excitement of "competing" against their classmates.
