Act 42 - No Phones during Instructional Time

The East Troy School District Board of Education has a student policy regarding student use of information technology, communication resources, and Wireless Communication Devices.  This policy allows wireless technology to be utilized throughout our district during non instructional time and allows East Troy High School students to bring and use personal electronic devices outside of instructional time. Instructional time is defined as the moment the bell starts class until the bell ends it. Wireless Communication Devices (cell phones, tablets, non-approved laptops, and portable gaming devices). Students must refrain from using such devices during instructional time.  These devices can cause a disruption to the learning of a student and others around them.  If a student is on a WCD during class the following will occur:

  1. The device will be confiscated by the classroom teacher and turned in to the office
  2. A parent or guardian will be notified and expected to pick up the device by the end of that school day
  3. On the second offense, the device is again confiscated by the classroom teacher, and student serves two detentions
  4. Ongoing violations of the technology policy will result in increased discipline, including but not limited to:  turning the phone into the office daily and and other measures including searches, and could potentially result in out-of-school suspension.

Lockers available upon request!

Lockers will be available to students during the 2026-2027 school year upon request. Because many students choose not to use a locker, we are assigning lockers only to those who need one. Stop by the main office with any questions!

Lockers will be available to students who request them.

Friday, September 11th, we held our second annual welcome back and school spirit pep rally! We practiced our class chants, cheers for athletic games, and the school song. The energy was great at the high school this week, and we are so excited for the 2026-2027 school year!

Class of 2027 Senior Sunrise

The Class of 2027 kicked off their last high school chapter with a memorable Senior Sunrise on Tuesday morning at 6:00 AM. Over 50 students gathered early on the track to watch the sun come up together, shared donuts and photo-ops, and celebrating the beginning of the end of their senior year. It was an amazing morning highlighting the school spirit and community they have. A special thanks to the individuals who organized this event to make it possible!

ETHS juniors and seniors have two options to earn high school credit while working at a job. For more information about the two programs, please view this slide deck. Reach out to Mrs. Pluess with questions! plujin@easttroy.k12.wi.us
