The East Troy School District Board of Education has a student policy regarding student use of information technology, communication resources, and Wireless Communication Devices.  This policy allows wireless technology to be utilized throughout our district during non instructional time and allows East Troy High School students to bring and use personal electronic devices outside of instructional time. Instructional time is defined as the moment the bell starts class until the bell ends it. Wireless Communication Devices (cell phones, tablets, non-approved laptops, and portable gaming devices). Students must refrain from using such devices during instructional time.  These devices can cause a disruption to the learning of a student and others around them.  If a student is on a WCD during class the following will occur:

On Friday (9/18), AVID 12 celebrated AVID Day by completing the sentence, “Because of AVID, I’m…” and sharing their heartfelt reflections with their AVID teachers. 

While the AVID program looks a little different this year due to teacher cuts, our students found a meaningful way to show their appreciation for the teachers who continue to support, encourage, and believe in them. Their thoughtful words brought smiles to their teachers’ faces and were a beautiful reminder of the impact AVID has on our students. 

We are so proud of our AVID students and grateful for the relationships that make this program so special!

Any junior or senior interested in enrolling in college coursework this spring 2027 must submit SCN/ECC paperwork to the counseling office by October 1! See Mrs. Boston or Mrs. Pluess with questions! 

SCN is tied to technical colleges while ECC connects to universities. Juniors and seniors may enroll if they have exhausted all ETHS coursework in their desired career pathway. View this slide deck for more information about the two programs.

Note: CNA is a Start College Now course even though it is held at ETHS. A SCN application is required! 

In person application assistance will be available during both lunches on Wednesday, September 23.
