On Monday, the ETHS Student Cabinet members took on the community and painted local businesses windows to kick off Homecoming week! We are beyond thankful of the partnership with these organizations, and appreciate your willingness to show off your East Troy pride!

Throughout the week, students competed in our Buff Puff volleyball tournament alongside their grade-level teams. After a series of exciting matches, congratulations go to the Senior Class of 2027 for taking home the championship, and earning the ultimate privilege of facing off against the high school staff!

A new tradition made its debut this Homecoming season with our first-ever (in a few years) Homecoming Field Day! Students teamed up with their Resource classes to go head-to-head in a variety of lawn games and a high-stakes trivia station, all in a race to accumulate the most points. Competition was fierce across all grade levels, but Mr. Brown's sophomore Resource class ultimately clinched the victory with an impressive 790 total points. Congratulations to our Mr. Brown's Resource on setting the bar high for years to come! Huge shoutout to all of the ETHS students who made this morning one for the history books!

Today, our middle and high school students packed Culver's Court for an unforgettable Homecoming pep rally! The gym was filled with incredible energy as students rallied together, cheered on by performances from the pep band playing our school song and spirited grade-level chant competitions. Between exciting student games and recognizing our high school athletic teams, the afternoon celebrated everything that makes our school community special. The excitement reached its peak at the end of the rally with the official crowning of our Homecoming Royalty, Tessa McCue and Kellen Pluess. Thank you to everyone who brought their school spirit today!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Homecoming parade! We were thrilled to see such a strong turnout from our student clubs, athletic teams, youth groups, and local community organizations. The creative floats and enthusiasm along the route made it a fantastic celebration of community pride and tradition. We appreciate all the participants and spectators who helped make the event a success!

What a night! We were thrilled to welcome 280 students to this year's Homecoming dance. Everyone came dressed to the nines and brought incredible energy to the floor, dancing the night away and making memories that will last all year long.

The East Troy School District Board of Education has a student policy regarding student use of information technology, communication resources, and Wireless Communication Devices.  This policy allows wireless technology to be utilized throughout our district during non instructional time and allows East Troy High School students to bring and use personal electronic devices outside of instructional time. Instructional time is defined as the moment the bell starts class until the bell ends it. Wireless Communication Devices (cell phones, tablets, non-approved laptops, and portable gaming devices). Students must refrain from using such devices during instructional time.  These devices can cause a disruption to the learning of a student and others around them.  If a student is on a WCD during class the following will occur:

On Friday (9/18), AVID 12 celebrated AVID Day by completing the sentence, “Because of AVID, I’m…” and sharing their heartfelt reflections with their AVID teachers. 

While the AVID program looks a little different this year due to teacher cuts, our students found a meaningful way to show their appreciation for the teachers who continue to support, encourage, and believe in them. Their thoughtful words brought smiles to their teachers’ faces and were a beautiful reminder of the impact AVID has on our students. 

We are so proud of our AVID students and grateful for the relationships that make this program so special!

Any junior or senior interested in enrolling in college coursework this spring 2027 must submit SCN/ECC paperwork to the counseling office by October 1! See Mrs. Boston or Mrs. Pluess with questions! 

SCN is tied to technical colleges while ECC connects to universities. Juniors and seniors may enroll if they have exhausted all ETHS coursework in their desired career pathway. View this slide deck for more information about the two programs.

Note: CNA is a Start College Now course even though it is held at ETHS. A SCN application is required! 

In person application assistance will be available during both lunches on Wednesday, September 23. 

Congratulations to the East Troy Girls Golf Team for finishing the regular season with a strong finish and becoming conference champions. The girls ended the season by competing in the Rock Valley Conference Tournament with a fourth place finish. East Troy had two athletes (pictured on the right) place in the top 10 with sophomore Addy Halbesma placing fifth with an 89 and senior Tessa McCue with a 96. Addy and Tessa also earned first team all-conference honors for the season. Next up the team will compete at regionals at Naga-waukee War Memorial Golf Course next Wednesday.
