🎓 Exploring College Opportunities! 🎓

Our AVID students had the opportunity to explore two colleges this week! They toured Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and UW-Milwaukee, learning about the programs, opportunities, and experiences each school has to offer. These visits gave students a chance to ask questions, discover new interests, and take another step toward finding the college and career path that is right for them! They also were visited by four ET Alumni while touring UW-Milwaukee. Great to see you, Max, Josh, Kenzie and Irelyn!

Hard at work in Geometry

Students are engaging with a blended learning curriculum that seamlessly bridges tactile problem-solving with digital innovation. As they sketch diagrams in their workbooks, they also transition smoothly onto an interactive digital platform to test their ideas. There, real-time feedback immediately guides their progress, instantly highlighting correct steps or pointing out misconceptions so students can adjust their thinking on the spot. This dynamic combination keeps students motivated, actively improving their understanding.

Act 42 - No Phones during Instructional Time

The East Troy School District Board of Education has a student policy regarding student use of information technology, communication resources, and Wireless Communication Devices.  This policy allows wireless technology to be utilized throughout our district during non instructional time and allows East Troy High School students to bring and use personal electronic devices outside of instructional time. Instructional time is defined as the moment the bell starts class until the bell ends it. Wireless Communication Devices (cell phones, tablets, non-approved laptops, and portable gaming devices). Students must refrain from using such devices during instructional time.  These devices can cause a disruption to the learning of a student and others around them.  If a student is on a WCD during class the following will occur:

  1. The device will be confiscated by the classroom teacher and turned in to the office
  2. A parent or guardian will be notified and expected to pick up the device by the end of that school day
  3. On the second offense, the device is again confiscated by the classroom teacher, and student serves two detentions
  4. Ongoing violations of the technology policy will result in increased discipline, including but not limited to:  turning the phone into the office daily and and other measures including searches, and could potentially result in out-of-school suspension.

Lockers available upon request!

Lockers will be available to students during the 2026-2027 school year upon request. Because many students choose not to use a locker, we are assigning lockers only to those who need one. Stop by the main office with any questions!

Lockers will be available to students who request them.
